The book includes vivid photos of the process including hand-digging and preparing local clay, turning, glazing, firing in a ground hog kiln and selling of wares at a kiln opening. Written from the perspective of a youngster as he watches his dad make pottery, this book gives readers valuable information that will be helpful to not only elementary and middle-school teachers and their students, but also to pottery enthusiasts of all ages.
